Our Network-wide Signature Events and Programs
LaunchPad offers programs and opportunities on-campus, off-campus, and cross-campus. Our signature programming engages students from across the LaunchPad network in unique opportunities outside of their institution. Currently, all LaunchPad signature programs are being delivered to students virtually to ensure the health and safety of all those involved.
Taking the traditional Techstars Startup Weekend and leveraging the power of the LaunchPad network, LaunchPad Startup Weekends are for college students new to entrepreneurship. A 54-hour event, LaunchPad Startup Weekends challenge students to think creatively, communicate effectively, and work in a team, all with the end goal of solving a self-identified problem.
LaunchPad’s global network event brings together hundreds of student entrepreneurs, Campus Directors, and subject matter experts from Blackstone, Techstars, and other industry partners to help participants grow their network and get the training and advice they need to propel their companies forward. The event’s pitch competition offers over $50,000 in prizes.
In this 8-week virtual program, student founders receive $5,000 in non-dilutive grant funding to support their time working on advancing their startups. LaunchPad Fellowships are largely self-driven, but also offer relevant startup workshops, peer and advisor networking events, and other opportunities to build entrepreneurial skills. This program is delivered in partnership with Techstars and Future Founders.
The education, experiences, and mentorship that LaunchPad provides culminate in this annual showcase of the ‘best of the best’ student entrepreneurs from across the network. Mentors, investors, media, and stakeholders from Blackstone and Techstars are invited to come together and hear student founders from across the LaunchPad network pitch their startups. From here, our students’ potential is limitless. LaunchPad Demo Day takes place in New York City and awards over $100,000 in non-dilutive grant funding.
Campus Director Retreat
